Water-based nail polishes do chip and flake very easily, so Zao has devised a nail polish that delivers the quality of traditional nail polishes but without the toxic chemicals, resulting in an effective and long-lasting nail polish that does not compromise your health.

To always propose you more eco-friendly and healthy products, the nail polish formula has evolved. So, this nail varnish now contains 74% to 84 % ingredients from natural origin (agro-solvents from corn, potatoes, manioc and wheat). Their formula, enriched with bamboo rhizome macerate, rich in organic silica, helps to strengthen the nails. They offer excellent hold, ultra-shiny finish and fast drying. The application is easy thanks to the large and flat brush which allows a perfect diffusion of the product on the whole nail.

Naturally rich in organic silica, it makes the nails harder and more resistant.

The composition is free of 10 harmful ingredients: toluene*, formaldehyde*, dibutyl phthalate*, formaldehyde resin, paraben, xylene*, camphor, rosin*, styrene and benzophenone. Zao have removed 2 new harmful ingredients: styrene and benzophenone. *Ingredient that may be present as an unavoidable impurity, in trace shape.

The new formula is also vegan certified..

Packaging

The Zao nail polish comes packaged in a glass container with a bamboo lid, it does include a plastic applicator with a vegan synthetic brush.

Zao may not be 100% plastic-free, however they are a brand that is constantly changing their packaging to make it as sustainable as possible. We have already seen this with their powders and other makeup.
