Packaging -
This kit comes in a cardboard compostable box. The bamboo pots and trays in the Indoor Herb Growing kit are manufactured using 10% melamine which is used to bind the bamboo fibres. This makes the bamboo really strong and almost unbreakable. The manufacturer maintains that these pots & trays break down and degrade within 3 years from new and can be safely composted. Seeds are airtight packaged in foil wrapper, this does have a plastic liner so would need to go in general recycling.
