Should you get a waxed or an unwaxed cover? It all depends on what you want to use your cover for. Waxed covers are the best choice for longer term storage, covered with a layer of 100% pure organic beeswax, the layer of wax helps to make your cover more airtight and helps to keep the moisture in your food for longer time. Unwaxed covers are great for short term storage (things that you will use soon) fermentations, rising dough, protecting fruit from fruit flies and transporting food.

Packaging

There is no packaging except a card tag attached with a metal safety pin.

Care: Unwaxed- Machine washable cool, gentle, no bleach. Air dry. Do not iron or microwave. Waxed - wipe with damp cloth hang to dry.

End of Life: These bowl covers are 100% backyard compostable. Simply cut up into small pieces for better breakdown.

Sizing: Measure across the widest part of the bowl (diameter) and order the size just larger. For example, if your bowl measures 9” across, order a 10” bowl cover. If your bowl measures 13” across, order the 12” bowl cover.  They have some stretch.
