Reusable Sanitary Pads
In 2003, Totsbots revolutionized the baby industry by developing an eco-friendly and ultra-performing cloth nappies and now their sister company Bloom & Nora offer reusable cloth sanitary pads.
In 2000, with concerns about the environment and chemicals in disposable nappies, director Fiona Smyth designed washable, reusable nappies for her newborn baby girl—and her company, TotsBots, was born.
Fifteen years later Fiona's daughter has again inspired her to evolve her design know-how to create another environmentally friendly product to help combat single use plastic waste. The huge waste concern and the chemicals in disposable pads and tampons motivated the move to into reusable sanitary pads!
Over the last fifteen years we’ve become an expert in fabrics, components and the best combinations of materials for our high-performance products. We've used our experience and in-depth knowledge to create an award winning reusable sanitary pad range.
With the emphasis on comfort, performance and durability, Fiona made sure that Bloom & Nora pads were Oekotex certified at the outset and therefore guaranteed to contain no harmful chemicals. Something very important for sanitary wear.
In addition to reducing waste and providing a safer alternative to disposable sanitary products, Bloom & Nora pads are also cheaper to use than disposables, costing on average of 3p per use compared to 12p per single use pad. Bloom & Nora pads are also of such high quality that they can be used as often as 150 times over five to seven years!
