A guide to different natural soaps and natural soap bars for different skin types!
To pick the right natural soap bar for every skin type you need to know what natural ingredients work and why. Here is a handy guide to help you make the best choices.
If you have temperamental skin or are looking for a natural soap bar to heal a particular issue, here are some suggestions. Dry, oily, sensitive or baby- we have a natural soap bar for every skin type and more!
A Natural Soap Bar For Dry Skin
As you probably know, coconut oil is great for pretty much everything. It is soothing, moisturising, healing, calming, and even has antibacterial properties, therefore making it a super ingredient in a natural soap bar or eco soap on a rope. Oh and it smells great too! In a natural soap bar honey is also very good for dry skin and it heals any underlying skin problems such as eczema or dry patches. A natural soap bar or eco soap on a rope with honey is perfect for using as a vegan body soap bar for an all over body treatment.
A Natural Soap Bar For Oily Skin
Natural clays such as Australian red clay are great for drawing out excess oils from the skin and removing any signs of impurities. In a natural soap bar sweet orange oil is also good at lifting oil and grease from the skin, leaving it clear and soft. In fact, any organic, vegan, natural soap containing citrus essential oils like lemon, lime, grapefruit, or lemongrass will be effective in the fight against the slick. Lemongrass and patchouli are also a great ingredient in a natural soap bar and an eco soap on a rope, wonderful at removing excess oils, it even helps balance and tone the skin.Â
A Natural Soap Bar For Sensitive Skin
Sensitive skin often needs extra TLC so you need an eco, chemical free, natural soap bar or eco soap on a rope that will be gentle whilst still getting the job done. Natural coconut oil is great for this, so are other natural ingredients like rose oil, lavender oil, and even this natural facial cleansing soap bar with rosehip – all of which have anti-inflammatory and soothing properties, making them too great in natural soap bars. Natural hand soap bars and vegan body soap bars that contain natural ingredients like olive oil are also great for sensitive and dry skin. Pure olive oil natural soap bars also contain no added extras and therefore have some amazing calming and skin soothing properties.
A Natural Soap Bar For Acne Prone Skin
If your skin is prone to acne then you should look for natural soaps, natural soap bars and natural facial cleansing soap bars that contain witch hazel. A natural astringent as well as having anti-inflammatory properties, it balances the oils in the skin which helps to prevent blackheads and breakouts. Another effective ingredient in a natural soap bar to consider is tea tree which is fresh and invigorating whilst killing bacteria that could lead to unsightly pimples. Using a natural soap or eco soap on a rope with oats and oat milk is perfect for acne prone skin. That is because they contain anti-inflammatory properties that are soothing, moisturising and help improve skin health.Â
Natural Soap Bar For Baby Skin
Baby skin needs extra special care due to it being very sensitive. Look for eco, chemical free, natural soaps and natural soap bars that contain ingredients like chamomile that are gentle and soothing for both mind and body. This natural soap bar from Wild Sage & Co also contains carrot pulp and calendula, both of which are great for cleaning and moisturising your little one.
Natural Soap Bar For Dirty skin
If your work leaves your skin with an odour or extra grime, you might be looking for an extra tough kind of natural soap bar to remove all traces. Coffee is great for this as not only does it exfoliate the skin but it lifts any residue or smell. This little beauty of a natural soap bar then scents the skin with natural patchouli, ginger, clove, and orange. Natural facial cleansing soap bars that contain activated charcoal are also great for removing dirt. Upcircle’s natural facial cleansing soap bar with activated charcoal draws out toxins and tightens pores; improving complexion.
Could you advise on what kind / which bar soap can be used as an intimate soap? Does it need to be fragrance free? Or does a natural, chemical free can also be used?
Hi Julie,
For external use we i can recommend Our Tiny Bees natural soap. the soap only contains 3 ingredients

I would definitely say it needs to be fragrance free
Can the hand and body soap be used on hair too?
Hi Tricia,
Thank you for your comment.
I would definitely recommend using a shampoo bar to wash your hair! the hand soap could be used but it may leave your hair feeling and looking greasy.
i have copied a link to our shampoo bar range for you:
