Different Types of Blusher and How to Apply Them Leave a comment

Confused what kind of natural, vegan, organic blusher to opt for? Here are three of the most common types and how to apply them.

Baked

Solid organic blushers and organic bronzers or ones that are “baked” into a hard form are the most common kind of format for this kind of product. Made from mineral powders and then compressed into a bamboo, refillable palette, this Zao organic blushers and organic bronzers are great for adding a bit of colour to your complexion. Free from talc, parabens, and synthetic ingredients, these organic blushers and organic bronzers are incredibly gentle on the skin. To apply, run your organic blusher brush across the palette and blow on the brush to remove any excess. Then apply to the apples of your cheeks and cheekbones, or anywhere else you need a bit of extra colour.

Powder

At Peace With The Wild, we love mineral vegan makeup and there is no exception when it comes to blusher. A vegan mineral blush is completely natural and beneficial for your skin and results in a glowing, natural, non-cakey look. With vegan mineral blusher or organic bronzer, you don’t need to worry about blocked pores because the formula allows your skin to breathe, even if you apply it heavily. Just get your organic blusher brush and dip it into the pot, tapping any excess powder off before you apply it.  Then, sweep gently across your cheekbones, blending outwards in short strokes. In the case of organic bronzer, apply to just below your cheekbones, the bridge of your nose, your forehead, and anywhere else the sun would catch you.

Stain

For those that want a totally natural flush, cheek stains are a must! This organic lip and cheek stain from Fat And The Moon is 100% natural, organic and cruelty-free, and made from ethically harvested ingredients such as beetroot and alkanet root. Just rub a bit on the end of your fingers and apply to the apples of the cheeks with small, circular motions and blend. This wonderful natural, organic makeup product can also be applied to the lips, leaving a healthy, colourful sheen.
